Boehringer, Red.Health Ink MoU On Stroke Care
Partnership will enhance pre-hospital stroke treatment across India
Boehringer, Red.Health Ink MoU On Stroke Care
Hyderabad: Boehringer Ingelheim India and RED.Health have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance emergency stroke care in India, particularly in pre-hospital settings. The partnership aims to address the growing prevalence of stroke, which has become the fourth leading cause of death in the country.
A key focus is reducing the time patients spend before receiving treatment, particularly during the critical “golden period” of 4 to 5 hours from symptom onset. By implementing standardized stroke protocols and advanced EMT training, the collaboration seeks to improve response times and patient outcomes.
The MoU also includes the integration of the FAST (Face, Arm, Speech, Time) stroke scale in RED.Health’s ambulance services and the provision of free training from Boehringer Ingelheim’s Angels Initiative. The partnership will provide crucial life-saving support through better-prepared emergency teams, ensuring more timely interventions for stroke patients across India.
